Oktoberfest Run Nitra 2026: Half Marathon is a running festival that brings together sport, community and charity in the centre of Nitra. The event is part of the European Mobility Week and its main programme is a certified half marathon run according to World Athletics Association standards, supplemented by children’s athletics and accompanying races for families and seniors. The event also includes a cultural programme in the traditional style of Nitra’s Market Square, which creates an authentic festival atmosphere. The aim is to promote healthy lifestyles, intergenerational connections and community cooperation in Nitra and the region, with an emphasis on inclusion and social responsibility.
Online registration will close on 17.09.2026 at 23:59, or when the entry limit is reached. After this date, if the entry limit is not met, it will also be possible to register at the place of presentation of runners, the day before the race, and on the day of the race in a limited time interval. On-site registration on the day of the event (if possible) will only be possible during the runners’ presentation from 08:00 to 09:30. A participant becomes a registered participant only after payment of the entry fee. As soon as the entry fee is paid, your name will appear in the list of registrants and you will receive a confirmation email. A Participant may register for two disciplines, provided that the start time of the first discipline allows the Participant to continue in the second discipline without restriction, participation in the first discipline does not affect the Participant’s ability to meet all the requirements
and rules of the second discipline in accordance with the General Conditions and the Regulations, and such a combination of disciplines does not interfere with the sporting and technical organisation of the Event or the safety of other Participants; in this case, the Participant registers separately for both disciplines and is responsible for meeting all the conditions and rules of each discipline.

The electronic timekeeper is provided by the company ČASOMIERA – VOS-TPK s.r.o. The results will be continuously published on the website https://registrace.sportsoft.cz/registration.aspx?e=3477.
Each competitor is required to wear the starting number on his chest so that it is visible and must not be covered. Without the start number on your chest, your time may not be recorded. The start number is the property of the organiser until the finish line. Start numbers are not transferable to another person without the consent of the organiser. A competitor who starts with a starting number assigned in the start list to another competitor will be disqualified
The entry fee paid is non-refundable.
On the back of the start number you have the option to fill in your medical details. This data will be used by the organizer only in case of health complications of the competitor and subsequent treatment by the medical and emergency services. In case of your interest, please supplement the submitted data with your current health problem, illness, allergies, contact person or other important information that may help us in case you receive medical assistance during or after the race.
On the back you will also find a telephone contact for the emergency services during the event.
The age attained in that year is decisive for age classification, regardless of the day and month of birth. In addition to the evaluation in absolute order, the organizer will also compile the results in the following categories in the disciplines:

Urban circuit on a track with a solid asphalt surface without sidewalks and significant elevation changes. The track has a valid AIMS international certificate and a certificate of the Slovak Athletic Association (SAZ).

The time limit for completing the half marathon is 3 hours. The race will be completed at the time that occurs after this time limit. For the other disciplines, the rule is that they will be completed according to the decision given in the Final Instructions, but at the latest at the same time as the Half Marathon. Participants who are on the course after this time limit will bear all risks associated with this at their own risk.
*Participants under the age of 18 can only take part in selected disciplines. When collecting the starting number, they must hand in the written consent of their legal guardian.
** Participation is also possible for persons under 18 years of age upon presentation of written consent of a parent/legal guardian.
Protests concerning the results or the conduct of competition of an event must be lodged within 30 minutes after the results of that event have been published. The organisers of the competition shall ensure that the time of the announcement of the results in each discipline is recorded.
Any protest shall be made orally to the Chief Referee by the competitor or the official representing the competitor. If the Chief Referee is not present, a protest may be lodged and delivered to him through the race office.
An appeal of the protest decision must be made to the jury within 30 minutes of:
The appeal must be in writing, must be signed by the competitor or the official representing the competitor and must be accompanied by a deposit of 10 EUR. The deposit shall be forfeited if the Jury finds the appeal to be without merit.
The organizer does not provide insurance for participants. The conclusion of the relevant insurance (health, accident, liability, travel, etc.) is at the discretion of the participant of the event. Any costs for treatment, hospitalization, damages, etc. will be passed on to the Participant.
The organizer does not accept responsibility for damage to property or health related to the travel, stay and participation of competitors in the event. It is the responsibility of the Participant to undergo an appropriate medical examination prior to the start and to obtain information about his/her health in connection with the decision to participate in the Oktoberfest Run Nitra. Each Participant starts at his/her own risk.
Depending on the circumstances, the organizer reserves the right to modify and further specify some of the information provided in these regulations or organizational instructions. The Organiser also reserves the right to cancel or suspend the event or any of the disciplines of the event in the event of serious danger, in particular war, adverse weather, danger of terror or other attack threatening the safety of the participants of the event, or other unforeseeable vis maior events and circumstances.
In this case, the participant is not entitled to a refund of the entry fee, or part of it, since the organizer has already incurred the costs of preparing the event in the time before the moment of interruption/cancellation of the event itself. However, the organiser may, after considering all the circumstances and quantifying the costs associated with the preparation of the event, compensate the participant for part of the entry fee.
Measures COVID-19: If the current situation related to the spread of COVID-19 disease requires the introduction of measures in accordance with the current regulations of the Chief Hygienist of the Slovak Republic and the Office of Public Health of the Slovak Republic, the participation of competitors in the event may be adjusted based on the decision of the organizer, or on the established epidemiological and hygienic rules for the organization of mass sporting events.
Detailed conditions of participation in the Oktoberfest Run Nitra are regulated by the General Terms and Conditions, which are binding for each registered Participant of the Event.
The organiser reserves the right to change the programme, the regulations and other conditions without prior notice.
